How much do you think you know about teaching reading?
As a professional teacher I wonder if I was really prepared to teach reading to young children. I mean sure I know how to read and I know what letters sound like all together but my question is was I adequately prepared in my undergraduate studies to teach a learner how to read? In some ways maybe the method is trial and error but how do you know that you know what you know and how to do it consistently?

Taj, great job on your blog!! It is certainly a worthy question!! And following up to that is, and how do you know if what you are doing is effective? These are questions every educator should be asking themselves!!
